Discovered on a secret beach in Devon…
On a wintery walk this weekend, Tom stumbled across this amazing shelter made from drift wood, rope and other bits and pieces washed up onto the shore. It has a large pebble ‘day bed’, fire pit and its design allows plenty of natural light… We salute the mystery builder. It’s an amazing feat of resourcefulness. What it lacks in overhead cover, it makes up for in rustic charm and frankly if you’re looking for somewhere for a romantic Valentine’s dinner, this would take some topping.
If you live in North Devon and know the master shelter-maker, please let us know - enquiries@canopyandstars.co.uk – we’d like to reward his/her efforts with a classic copy of Shelter by Lloyd Kahn, whose blog recently featured another driftwood creation.
